Instructions for Embassy Nominated MEXT Scholarship Students (Research Students)
How to apply for Letter of Provisional Acceptance at Ģý
The procedure is in accordance with the system set by the Japanese Government. In order to apply for a Letter of Provisional Acceptance, applicants are required to pass the primary screening conducted by the Japanese Embassy in their home country. Please refer to the embassy's website or contact them regarding the schedule and application process. For more details, please refer to the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship website. Inquiries about the screening schedule should be made at the Japanese diplomatic mission at your country.
Please note that the following individuals are ineligible to apply: those already enrolled in a Japanese university under a 'Student' visa at the time of application, and those who plan to enroll as privately-financed students before the scholarship period begins.
Furthermore, MEXT scholarships are exclusively for degree-seeking students. Please thoroughly research your desired graduate schools research areas and entrance requirements (e.g., language proficiency) to ensure a proper fit before requesting a letter of provisional acceptance.
Recently, we have received many inquiries regarding fields of study not available at our university. Please ensure you have verified our list of graduate schools before contacting us. We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiring about fields we do not offer, such as Engineering, Medicine, or Nursing. Please check the link for a list of the graduate programs offered at our university.
